Established in 1943 by Dave Zelman, the inside man and Henry "Major" Ross, the outside man. They specialized in fabric "dressmaker bags." Dave Zelman's daughter Marilynn emailed the company manufactured from 1943 thru 1963. "His forte was skirt bags, clutches made from faille & broadcloth," said Marilyn. "He later designed bags for Walborg, Morris Moskowitz & others. He was the designer @ Zelman Bags, & many of his designs, are copied by contemporary designers today." (3/5/07)
