Romo stars "Lammie" basket

"In the big, new spring collection at Romo Bags, one value-packed item really stands out. It's an all-Lammie bag shaped like a small basket with narrowed base and domed 2-way snap lid. A soft self handle is stitched in a double rope effect and a big golden nailhead accents each side. Priced to retail at $3, this bag is done in pastels, darks, and 2-color treatments for shoe people. Romo informs us that there's a patent pending on this particular bag.

In addition, the firm offers a wide assortment of smart patent plastic bags with colorful leather linings, also at $3. At $2, there's a fine group of genuine embossed cowhide bags with inside zipper sections, and also a collection of top grain cowhide casuals to retail at $3.

Pearlized leather bags, in pastels and darks also appear in many smart shapes. Especially pretty is the kidney shape box with padded ridge edge." (January 1955 Handbags & Accessories, page 46)
