Plastic Fashions produced a line of telephone cord bags called Revere-Flex Creations. Their half page ad "Handbag Buyer" June 1949, page 35, shows a nifty box style 8127 and a swagger handle bag with top zipper, style 8124. The $7.95 retail price translates to $38 in 2006 inflation adjusted dollars. The full list of color offerings is most enlightening.
Petit Perl was the name for the 1951 version of the telephone cord bag, shown for Spring 1952 in the December 1951 issue of Luggage & Leather Goods, page 56.
"PETIT PURL by Plastic Fashions is dainty new spiraled plastic in wide style assortment for resort. In solids, two color or multi combinations."
Plastic Fashions telephone cord bags were still called Revere-Flex Creations for Spring 1955. They retailed for $3-$10.95 (inflation adjusted by 614%, that about $18-$67 in today's dollars.)
