The HANDBAGS column of the same February 1950 issue of "Handbags and Fashion Accessories," page 70 announced a reorginaization of Paul Brown with the "withdrawing" of Jerry Brill. There's a story here, I'm sure!

Paul Brown Co. has undergone a reorganization with Paul Brown now becoming sole owner and Jerry Brill withdrawing from the company. Showroom remains at 6 East 32nd Street, New York City, and the firm will now specialize in calf bags to retail from $12.95 to $25.
