 Delill Creation was first used in trade September 2, 1941. This trademark for Delill Creation was filed April 12, 1947 and registered March 9, 1948 to Desire and Lilly Rotkel. The March 1955 issue of Handbags & Accessories featured an extensive article on Plastic in handbags. This Delill tote design was included on page 10. 1955Plastics  The same issue includes a bit of detail on the Delill line on page 26.  French Poodles were all the rage in the 50's and Delill tapped into that inclination with this line of hand decorated vinyl bags in 1955. It's illustrated on page 39 of the March 1955 Handbags & Accessories. Delill, 162 Madison Ave." The 1960s Display ad June 1961 "Handbags & Accessories," page 57  GALLERY A00169: A fabulous Delill Creation, styled after Persian Miniatures, is probably the product of a fashion by recently discovered in a 1954 trade journal. Ladies of the time were encouraged to simultaneously use two handbags, one petite and one immense! This large shopping bag style handbag has one large metal zip pocket and a huge interior fitted bag, with a spring clasp. This inner bag is permanently mounted in the interior of the shopping bag. The lining and the internal handbag are gold lame'. Excellent condition and totally unique! Includes the original Delill tag with style number in original asking price. Measures 12 1/4” x 4 1/2” x 11 1/4” with double 15 inch handles. SOLD for $85 in 2000 The Bag Lady Emporium.   C00287:A beautifully made Delill Black Leather and Needlepoint handbag. The gently, scalloped front edge detail adds a touch of elegance. The interior is fully lined in spotless, tan suede cloth, with two gold-corded pockets, and one large metal zip pocket. The lining shows some flexure damage at the gussets. (See detail). Slight bottom corner wear, and a tiny scuff at the back corner of the leather covering of the frame. Measures 12 ¾ x 3 x 7 ¾ inches with a l4 inch handle.
