The "Handbag Briefs" column on page 42 of the February 1961 "Handbags & Accessories" provided details fo the 1961 Spring line.

"Marshmallow, plastic patents,

straws and vinyls for spring are being shown at Berke & Witkin, 330 Fifth Ave. The line of bags will retail from $1 to $2.99. The pearlized Marshmallows in many soft, pouffy styles are featured in coffee cream, lilac, sea foam, bone, black and white. Shell handles, frames and gold finish chain handles serve as attractive, decorative touches. The "flower-under-glass" vinyls have embroidery or assorted flowers on white or natural backgrounds. Italian straws are leather trimmed and come in natural and black. Basket and east-west shapes have darker brown trim. In the casual line are large totes with pockets, and zipper top marshmallow bags in soft, draped styles. The "buck shot" bag is a long, triangular shaped bag in black, bone, red or tan to retail for $2.99. Also available is a complete line of clutches in vinyl and Marshmallow."
