In 1937, Martha Sleeper produced an innivative line of bakelite and plastic jewelry through Lisner Company. Her schoolhouse, smoking and drinking themed pins and necklaces are absolutely unique. She also designed a line of great buttons for B. Blumenthal in the form of roadsigns, tools and other "goofie" shapes.
