If you travel light and want a beautiful fitted vanity for evening, this Zell “Round Towner” may be the bag for you. Laura M. Mueller illustrates the same bag in a damask cover slightly different from this Gold & Black lozenge pattern brocade exterior on page 143 of “Compacts Volume II.” This pristine condition example has a gold metal mesh swagger handle. The push type latch is firm and open to a well designed fitted interior lined in black moiré with golf pockets for the square compact and lipstick tube with a tiny plastic comb behind. The lipstick contains vintage cosmetic that can be replaced or our own tube inserted. The lovely loose powder compact includes a marked Zell powder puff. The mirror inside shows it age, but is still usable. The other side of the interior has a retaining bar for cigarettes and a fragile paper coin purse, slightly damaged, that is attached to the bar with a chain. This great vintage vanity is in outstanding condition, clean inside and out. Measures 3 ¼ x 1 x 4” with a 4” handle.

This item was part of the archives of the Bag Lady Emporium, originally in operation from 1996 through 2022 (Inventory ID H00037).
