Spectacular unmarked Wilardy briefcase handbag has had its monogram replaced by handsome metal work that highlights the proprietary Wilardy latch and handle hardware. The warm beige Lucite is clear and unfogged. The active birds eye marbling adds horizontal interest. The interior is fully lined in sumptuous, chocolate moiré and features a single elasticized open pocket. A bevel edged mirror is mounted above the pocket. A note by the original owner says she bought the bag at Northland Mall, the first regional mall shortly after it opened in March 1954 and includes the retail price. This substantial bag makes an imposing statement and is ample enough for today|s needs, but it is heavier than most. Measures 10 1/4 x 3 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches.
