It|s a lovely Whiting & Davis Enamel Mesh Evening Bag with cutwork filigree frame. The bag is an older type and carries the Whiting & Davis hand tag. The delicate design is rendered front and back in blue-green, red, green and pink on a gold enameled background. The substantial brass chain handle is comprised of alternating oval and figure 8 links, each individually ered. The bag is fully lined in gold satin which does have a few stains but is good and sound. Excellent condition with only slight wear to the enamel on about a dozen mesh under the hinges, a frequently seen and age appropriate sign of age in these bags. Measures 5 3/4 x 1 1/2 x 5 1/2".
