Walborg Belgium Black beaded bag dated pre-WWII. While the photograph is not fully representative, the front and back of the bags are beaded in a triple leaf design which must be seen to be fully appreciated. The curvilinear patterning and the faceting of the short tubular beads gives the bag an ever changing appearance as the light moves across it! The beaded 3/4" wide fabric handle is mounted on opposite sides of the frame to prevent spilling. The spotless black satin interior features a single large open pocket and carries the fabric label reading" Made in Belgium by Hand Walborg." Excellent condition. Measures 10 x 1 x 6".
