This pair of magnificent early Trifari fur clips with navy blue enamel ribbon, leaf & flower design came from an estate in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan. The elongated Trifari with Crown logo on the clip hardware dates these ca 1940. They came in a box from C.D. Peacock, the oldest and finest jewelry store in Chicago since 1837. The clips measure 1.5 x 2.5 inches. Beautiful condition with no missing or darkened stones, enamel damage or plating wear. These clips are features on page 69 of "Vintage Jewelry" by Caroline Cox. Designed to wear on coat or fur with 2 long pointed prongs as back attachment (see detail.)

This item was part of the archives of the Bag Lady Emporium, originally in operation from 1996 through 2022 (Inventory ID 970462).
