Marie M. Deutz was a New York fashion handbag house, specializing in novelty carryalls. This lovely reddish mahogany Lucite shell bag is the very first of their bags I have seen. It may be a custom design, made by Hardy. The bright metal hardware is shiny and solid. Excellent condition in all respects. Measures 6 ¼ x 3 x 4 ¾” with a 12” handle.
