Lilly Dache’ was a famed New York designer whose appeared on the TV classic “What’s My Line” as mystery guest on August 28, 1955. This example of her work is rare, unused with the original box and labels intact. But the most unique aspect is the printed magnolia-like floral design on a Naples yellow ground that adorns the leather exterior. The coin purse features “Arist-o-Matic, allowing coins to slip into the coin purse without unsnapping it! The folding money slot has a hidden compartment behind it. The acetate photo sleeves include an ID card with no space for zip code, pointing certainly to a 1950’s date. You’ll never see another Mint In Box! Measures 9 ¼ x 3 ¾ x ¾”.

This item was part of the archives of the Bag Lady Emporium, originally in operation from 1996 through 2022 (Inventory ID E00047). It sold for $70.00 in 2005.
