Koret handbags have run the gamut from functional to fanciful in its history from 1929. This Mid-20th Century Travel bag has the best of both, possibly leaning toward function. The shiny vinyl body carries a nifty leather lined snap pocket up front, outfitted with large supple horizontal leather pockets labeled “Passport Papers…Tickets...Money” from top to bottom. The sculptural gold pod kiss lock finials open to a spotless black satin interior. A huge 3-bin hanging pocket, suspended from the frame’s hinges, also closes with a kiss lock. Two gold satin lined open pockets adorn one side of the interior. Another unique feature on the other side is a copious metal zip pocket, attached to the frame only that lifts to reveal a concealed open pocket the same size as the large on one the opposite side! Minor defects include slight wear to the gloss of the lining satin, slight wear to the lacquer of the metal fittings and some scratches always seen on the black vinyl, mostly on the bottom. Measures 12 ¾ x 3 ¾ x 8 ½”.
