While similar in shape and sporting a Rialto latch like the example on pg. 35 top right of "Plastic Handbags" by Dooner, this bag has some interesting design additions. It is a substantially larger bag measuring 8 1/8" wide x 4 1/2" deep x 6.5" high. The body is variegated mid to dark gray with a definite horizontal direction to the swirl of the tones. This horizontal is accentuated by 4 horizontal ridges carved in the body and the bright horizontal edge of the 1/2" thick carved lucite top. This carving is done in a rather unique interlocking circle pattern quilters call "Robbing Peter to Pay Paul" (see detail picture.) The shape of the double handles is also quite unusual."
