This splendid example of the classic 50’s Dorset-Rex birdcage basket weave bag has everything! Dorset Fifth Avenue merged with Rex Fifth Avenue in 1951 formed Dorset-Rex. This bag Black Lucite top, handle and bottom add solidity to the Lacy translucent vinyl woven through the spotless gold ribs. The triple lobed lift-up latch threads through the flexible tab to close. Top that off with flawless condition and it is a vintage bag any collector would covet! Measures a sizable 9 ½ x 6 x 7 ½”.
