Charming Evans black silk velvet vanity bag is illustrated on p.233 of Gerson|s "Vintage Ladies Compacts" and p.83 of "Gerson|s Vanity Bags and Purses". A complex rouge and loose powder compact is built into the metal lid. The powder door is engraved in engine turned scalloped design. The rouge compartment still contains the bright pink product. The compartment|s lid is a stainless steel mirror. The original rouge and powder puff are included. The body of the bag is fully lined in spotless black taffeta. The compact measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter. The bag itself 4 1/4 inches round and 2 inches deep. The bag is unmarked. Excellent condition.
