A gorgeous black leather Evans handbag circa 1945, custom-designed for carrying your Evans compact and vanity items. The bag is beautifully designed and solidly made with engrave detailing on the frame, triangular lift-up latch, and front trim tab. The interior is fully lined in black satin and fitted with numerous open pockets, designed for lipstick, compact and comb. A safety chain secures a matching black satin coin purse. Slight surface wear on the leather and lacquer finish of the metal is barely noticeable. Very similar to illustrate example on page 204 of Gerson|s "Vanity Bags." Measures 8 x 2 1/2 x 5 inches.
