A Post-War design classic, this conical black faille evening bag is Art Moderne wearable art! While unmarked, it is reminiscent of the suede bags made in France in the 1950’s. A single loop of cord forms the pair of handles, coursing through four loops on the round metal frame and joining in a leather binding at the center top. The curved latch pushes back to open. A large round mirror resides in the lid and spotless black moiré’ lines the interior. Metal spotting and a small oval divot in the faille coving the lid are the bags only shortcomings. It’s less than pristine, but a real scene-stealer! Measures 4 ½” in diameter and 7” long with 16” handles.

This item was part of the archives of the Bag Lady Emporium, originally in operation from 1996 through 2022 (Inventory ID B00374). It sold for $125.00 in 2006.
