This is yet another great bag, too damaged to sell, but too nifty to pass uncommented. Fabulous blue silk velvet swathes this tactile Bobbie Jerome clutch. I believe the body is mounted on a Facile Fasteners spring frame that is completely covered and closes with a spring snap with no latch. The beige satin interior is fitted for sleeves for a compact and 2 lipsticks and, most uniquely, since this center sleeve is attached only to the bottom, the whole unit moves back and forth. A pair of tickets for the Feb. 4, 1956 Bowler Dance, sponsored by the Flint Bowling Association came tucked in the large metal zip pocket. A five-sided mirror resides in the gold-corded open pocket above a custom fitted comb pocket. Value if perfect $75. Measures 8 ½ x 1 ¼ x 5”. This item was part of the archives of the Bag Lady Emporium, originally in operation from 1996 through 2022. ![]() Related Pages: BobbieJerome |
