Black Vinyl Sto-a-Way handbag, unused, with original tag. Unique features include gathered front panel, solid hexagonal metal clasp and pristine medium brown suede cloth interior. There is a single expanding metal zip pocket and the black vinyl coin purse attached to the frame by a pair of suspender|s. Its patent number 1925224 dates to 1932 and is embossed along with the Jemco logo on the elaborate and beautifully constructed frame. Jemco frames were widely used in early decades of the net of the 20th century by some of the best handbag makers in the US. This is a very early vinyl handbag, an artifact of the Depression, in unheard of condition. Measures 10 x 2 1/2 x 6 1/2"."
