Fabulous Late 40|s Shiny Black vinyl pouch bag with sculptural tortoise Lucite frame. The early spring style latch less frame was popular in the late 40|s. The body of the bag is Koroseal vinyl (see photo, page 146 of "Handbags" by Ettinger.) There is damage to one of the fingers of the hinge (see detail,) but the function of the frame is not effected. The interior is fully lined in black cotton. There are no interior pockets. An imposing bay with real stage presence! Measures 9 ½ x 2 x 9 with double 15" handles.
