Highly sought after and rarely found BAKELITE & LEATHER Accordion bag. I have looked for many years and this is the first one I|ve ever seen! The 2" wide snap closure flap opens to reveal a three panel interior. The top section, lined in brown satin, carries a woven fabric label reading "Bogon." The center red satin lined section has an open pocket with a special slot fitted for lipstick. The third section, lined in green satin, has another large open pocket. All interior pockets are edged in gold leather cording. The remarkable bakelite frame is flawless with no cracks, chips or breaks. Illustrated on page. 56 of "A Century of Handbags" by Kate Dooner. Some industrial designer worked overtime on this incredible bag. Measures 10 1/4 x 4 x 5". You|ll never see another one!
