This bag was very instructive to me. It is the first I’ve seen with the incised “Bags by Bishop” mark on the lid the interior. Because of the similarities of construction, these bags are often attributed to Tyrolean if unmarked. The translucent orange and amber diagonal stripe makes a flamboyant statement. It has a beautiful interior glow. The reverse curve of the handles echoes the curvaceous form of the bag. Gold metal floral filigree covers the lid and binds the body. Perches atop four gumdrop feet. Excellent condition. Sold in 2001. Measures 6 1/2 x 4 7/8 x 4 1/8 inches.

This item was part of the archives of the Bag Lady Emporium, originally in operation from 1996 through 2022 (Inventory ID A00723). It sold for $240.00.
