"A "Hear, Hear" goes to the National Authority for the Ladies' Handbag Industry National Authority For The Ladies Handbag Industry for their wise move in compiling two stories for newspaper use on the viciousness of the 20% tax still levied on handbags. The National Authority pointed out that, "women have as much need for their handbags as men have for their pockets" and as such the excise tax classifying handbags as a luxury is both unfounded and unjust."
